The treatment process is specified from source water to pool return. It records filtration type and rate, media, coagulation where applied, primary disinfection, pH correction, secondary treatment, heating, make-up water, dilution, sampling and control logic.
Specify filtration by performance
Filter area and rate match the design flow and particle-removal objective. The schedule defines clean and terminal pressure, backwash trigger, backwash flow, rinse sequence, water-disposal route and recovery procedure. Multiple filters receive balanced distribution and individual isolation.
Control chemistry through measured water
Automatic controllers continuously manage the selected disinfectant and pH system. Independent manual testing verifies the sensors and confirms water at representative pool locations. For chlorine systems, PWTAG identifies a pH range of 7.0–7.4 and links the required free-chlorine residual to pH, pool design, operation and microbiological results. MAZACURE records the project-specific operating band in the water-quality schedule.
| Parameter | Design decision | Operating evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Clarity | Filtration, coagulation and circulation strategy | Full floor visibility and recorded turbidity where specified |
| Disinfectant | Method, dose point and validated residual | Controller trend plus manual result |
| pH | Correctant, dosing system and target band | Automatic and manual verification |
| Combined disinfectant | Source control, dilution and secondary treatment | Trend and defined response |
| Water balance | Source water, alkalinity, hardness and materials | Scheduled balance calculation |
| Microbiology | Sampling plan and laboratory method | Laboratory reports linked to same-time chemistry |
Establish the testing plan
The operator's plan names the parameter, method, location, frequency, target, operating limit and decision authority. Samples represent the pool, not only the plant room. Microbiological sampling is accompanied by free and combined disinfectant, pH, clarity, temperature and bathing-load observations from the same time and place.
Maintain one water-quality record
Controller data, manual tests, laboratory results, dosing, filter condition, make-up water, attendance and operator actions sit in one chronological record. Trend review confirms whether the facility operates within its approved envelope and directs planned improvement.
