MAZACURE answer

The objective is to compose the entire scene after dark through water, architecture and landscape light. A MAZACURE standard.

The Architectural Idea

Architectural pool lighting begins at the viewer, then considers fixture direction, glare, steps, depth transitions, reflections and the surrounding landscape. Light and darkness must be planned together so water remains dimensional rather than uniformly luminous.

Design Principles

  • Evaluate beam direction from the house and primary outdoor seating positions.
  • Keep direct glare away from important views wherever the selected system allows.
  • Make entries and depth changes visually legible without overlighting them.
  • Preserve darker water zones for reflection and visual depth.
  • Electrical design and installation must comply with applicable local codes and manufacturer instructions.
