When water meets the deck, the smallest line controls the largest visual effect. A MAZACURE visual study of architecture, hydraulics and experience.
The Architectural Idea
A deck-level overflow pool replaces the conventional lowered waterline with a surface that appears flush with the surrounding floor. The edge detail, channel expression, paving coordination and displaced-water system create the architectural calm.
Design Principles
- Decide whether the overflow channel must disappear as a slot or remain visible as a grille.
- Align paving joints, pool geometry and channel terminations from one setting-out logic.
- Review surface reflection from the house and principal terrace viewpoints.
- Coordinate displaced-water capacity and the balance-tank concept with hydraulic design.
- Slope surrounding decks toward the drainage system defined by the governing requirements.
